Privacy policy

We collect your email address when you subscribe to price alerts, or when you ask us to email you a copy of your Leave time to Airport timeline. If you use the Leave time to Airport tool with an address or postcode to estimate journey time, that address is used only to calculate travel time and is never stored on our servers — see “Third parties” below for how it's processed. We don't collect names, payment details, or any other personal information.

Your email is used to send you price alerts when we detect a deal matching our quality criteria, or a one-off Leave time to Airport email if you request one — these are separate purposes, and requesting a timeline email does not add you to the price-alerts list unless you explicitly tick the opt-in box to do so. We do not use your email for marketing, profiling, or any other purpose beyond what you've asked for.

We retain your email address until you unsubscribe. Every alert email includes a one-click unsubscribe link. You can also request deletion at any time by emailing contact@plofair.com.

If you choose to allow analytics cookies, we use Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity to see aggregate visit counts and which travel guides people read — for example, to improve content and fix broken pages. These tools only run after you opt in via our cookie banner or cookie preferences. We do not use them for advertising or to build marketing profiles. We also use Vercel Web Analytics for privacy-friendly, cookieless page-view totals.

We do not sell or share your email address with any third party. If you use the Leave time to Airport tool, the address or postcode you enter is sent to free routing/geocoding services (postcodes.io, TomTom, and OSRM) solely to calculate journey time — we do not store this address ourselves, but it is transmitted to and briefly processed by those providers under their own privacy policies. If you allow analytics cookies, page-view data is processed by Google and Microsoft under their privacy policies (linked on our cookie policy). Our site may also contain affiliate links to airlines and accommodation booking platforms — those providers have their own privacy policies which apply when you visit them.

Essential cookies remember your cookie choice and keep the site running. Optional analytics cookies (Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity) are off by default and only load if you choose to allow them. See our cookie policy for the full list and to change your preference at any time.

Email addresses are stored in an encrypted database. We take reasonable steps to protect your data, though no online service is 100% secure.
